History
It was during the pre-independence era when Late S.Tara Singh Kochar laid the foundation for Kochar Rice Mills at Kamoke Mandi, distt. Gujranwala, which is now in Pakistan. It was under his guidance that Late S. Dalip Singh Kochar who was the chairman of Kochar Rice Mills Gave a new dimension to the Indian Basmati Rice Industry. Based in the holy city of Amritsar, Kochar Overseas was earlier known as Kochar Brother's Rice mills and export house namely Misha exports, which were merged together to from Kochar Rice Mills. After separation from the Family Business we have created a new company in October 2012 which is Kochar Rice Exim Pvt. Ltd. The company started its exports to the Middle East, primarily in Gulf Countries and gradually reached all over the globe.
